Marie Scalogna-Watkinson, LMT

Spa Chicks®  founder, Marie Scalogna-Watkinson, LMT has been a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist since 1992. She is a graduate of the Swedish Institute of Massage in New York City and is a proud member of the American Massage Therapy Association. As a well know celebrity massage therapist, she has over 18 years of career experience that includes personally performing thousands of massages in the day spa, backstage, office and home call setting;  holding title Massage Director at 2 top day spas in NYC and also acting as Company Massage Therapist for Saturday Night Fever on Broadway in the late 90's. Marie owned and operated a successful medical massage practice on 57th Street from 1997-2003, where she specialized in prenatal and medical based massage. She translated the office experience into an out-call setting with the creation of Mama Spa ® (www.mamaspa.com) in 2003 - the acclaimed on-site prenatal massage company.

Marie combines her years of professional spa experience with her natural talent & flair for marketing, promotion and event planning to launch Spa Chicks On-The-Go® in 2003 as an instant success among New York's movers and shakers. As a pioneer on the NYC home spa party scene in 2003, Marie delivered a fresh dose of fun and excitement that caught the eye of the media and tastemakers across the city. Marie has now set the standard of spa events across the country and is the known "go-to" person in the event and marketing industry. Marie's meticulous direction, can-do attitude and successful event record of Spa Chicks On-The-Go® sets the standards, styles and trends of the spa party industry that are noticed year after year.

Marie is a media trained spa expert qualified to speak on a full range spa, beauty and special event  related topics. She has experience with all forms of media including SMT's.
