I’m Marie Watkinson, LMT — entrepreneur, licensed massage therapist, and CEO/Founder/Spa Event Director of Spa Chicks On The Go. For over two decades, I’ve created elevated mobile spa and wellness experiences for corporate, media, retail, and private clients throughout New York and beyond.

Career & Expertise

As a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, my foundation is rooted in hands-on clinical work. I began my career in a sports medicine setting, where I spent my first ten years developing a deep understanding of the body, injury prevention, and therapeutic care. I later served as Director of Massage at a well-known Upper East Side spa and received Five-Star Service training while working as a therapist at the Pierre Hotel in New York City — experiences that honed my ability to deliver both clinical excellence and unparalleled client experiences in luxury settings.

Over the years, I’ve owned and operated a successful medical massage practice on East 57th Street, served as Event Manager for a spa travel company, and ultimately founded Spa Chicks On The Go. These experiences give me extensive expertise as both a hands-on therapist and a business leader, combining clinical knowledge with luxury spa management and large-scale event execution.

Life & Perspective

As a special-needs mother to a child with autism, I’ve developed a heightened awareness of the importance of calm, regulation, and sensitivity to environment. These lived insights inform how I lead my team, design wellness experiences, and care for both clients and practitioners. My son has taught me that patience, presence, and intentionality are essential — lessons that guide every event I produce.

At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to intentional, inclusive wellness delivered with integrity. That commitment continues to define my work and sets Spa Chicks On The Go apart.
